The architectural language has in the colour one of its main elements. Not just as an esthetical contribution which awakes our deepest intimate emotions but also fulfilling other important roles such as transforming the legibility of very problematic spaces in harmonious places or for example identifying specific areas. The colours that we perceive through the Natural Stone used in the building industry plays an important role during the course of a life. Each colour has its importance and the whole set of colours help ensuring a normal life and that is why we are not wrong in saying that the stimulation caused by a specific colour responds to the entire organism. The architect knows how to scientifically using the colour, the structures and the materials in order to make a room warmer or colder, bigger or smaller, higher or lower or make it more quite or noisy. The concept of the colour is already considered not just as a simple esthetical or decorative value, but as a mean to obtain the best environmental and functional results in agreement with the light, the materials and the lines. This is what encourages and stands out the building industry. The one who creates an interest and requires the emotional feedback of the spectator. For this reason colours have to be in terms with the environment, shape, region and place of the building and also with the structural properties and the sensation of weight, space and distance, as thanks to the colour we interrupt any feeling of monotony. |
