Finishes

 /

It is very common to say that a bad finish can mar the most spectacular piece of work.

In order to avoid it, we always have to study which is the correct structure which enhance and gives elegance and quality to our project for as little as it good be. A bad choice can lead to non desired results.

In this case relying on a professional consultant is fundamental. He will be able to suggest which type of finish mainly fits our needs, depending on its use, the place or the result we want to achieve using the natural stone.

Some examples of finishes are:

POLISHED
We obtain a straight surface, flat and gleaming, without any type of lines or visible scratches.

FLAMED
It consists in applying to the surface a high temperature flame which gives the finish a rustic, rough and glass-like look but without producing any change in the colour.

RIVEN FINISH
Slates and quarry pleated stones are fit to this finish, like quartz rocks and some sandstone.

SPLIT FACE
Natural and rustic look with some roughs, furrows and bulges which highlight the original relief at the same time smoothing corners and projections.

BUSH-HAMMERED
It produces a rough and homogeneous surface with little craters equally spread.

HACK-HAMMERED
Enlarged cuts or notches are made which gives the rocky stone a very rustic look and something rough.
